PFL was an exciting event for fans to watch. With big names and interesting fights, the event received a great response. Anthony Pettis versus Stevie Ray, ended with the former losing through a submission. Similarly, the main event featuring Bruno Cappelozza and Mattheus Scheffel ended with a shocking outcome.
Scheffel, who got knocked out in his last PFL 2 fight against Ante Delija, was in great shape. However, Cappelozza’s last few fights saw him extremely dominant.
But Scheffel won the three-round war against Cappelozza via a unanimous decision. His punches and combos seemed to have stunned Cappelozza for a few seconds in between. Both had their moments during the bout.

Scheffel’s power was visible throughout the fight and it earned him 29-28 on all the three judge’s scorecards.
Bruno Cappelozza’s loss was surprising, as he was on a five-fight win streak; most through KO/TKO quite early in the fights.
However, while Scheffel managed to defeat the former champion, it wasn’t enough for him to gun his way into the heavyweight playoffs. As Cappelozza scored a first-round KO against Stuart Austin in PFL 2, he captured the number 4 place. Hence, he will soon take on Denis Goltsov later this year for the heavyweight semifinals.

Scheffel, on the other hand, stands at rank number seven. Thus, while ‘Buffa’ upset Cappelozza, fans will see the latter in the semifinals soon this year.
What’s next at the PFL?
