Police are urgently searching for a 76-year-old York man who has been reported missing.
Anthony Atkinson, who is from Acomb, was last seen by his family at around 8.30am on Tuesday when he left his home to go for a walk.
North Yorkshire Police is concerned for the welfare and safety of Mr Atkinson who is believed to be without his regular medication.
Mr Atkinson is described as white, 5’10, with short grey hair and stubble on his face.

He was last seen wearing a white shirt, pale blue jumper, light blue jeans and grey shoes. He has a walking stick and walks with a noticeable stoop.
North Yorkshire Police said it is completely out of character for Mr Atkinson not to return home and to be out of contact on his mobile phone for so long.
It added that the only photograph it has of Mr Atkinson is from around 2000.
