Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic has recently won the Wimbledon Championships to win his 21st Grand Slam title. However, he received unfortunate news regarding his participation at the US Open, as the US government is not allowing travelers enter the country without the covid vaccination.
Meanwhile, he recently shared a video of him practicing, as he is still hopeful about his participation at the US Open. Moreover, he wrote a heartfelt message and fans reacted to it.

Earlier, Djokovic shared the video on his Instagram, and in the caption, he thanked all of his fans for the continuous support he received. He wrote, “I just wanted to take a moment and say to all of you how grateful I am to see so many messages of support and love from all around the world these days. I wasn’t expecting it, and that’s why it feels so mindblowing. Just wanted to say THANK YOU.”

“It feels special that people connect with my tennis career in such a loving and supportive way and wish for me to continue to compete. I am preparing as if I will be allowed to compete, while I await to hear if there is any room for me to travel to the US. Fingers crossed!,” he further said about being hopeful of participating at the US Open.

Notably, many fans and former players showed massive support for the Serb. Moreover, many fans signed a petition, as they want the US government to allow Djokovic to play at the US Open.

Austrian UFC fighter Aleksandar Rakic commented on Djokovic’s post on Instagram with a few fire emojis. Popular author Jason Vale also wrote a long post supporting the Serb and also called him the Goat.

Retired Slovakian tennis player, Dominik Hrbaty wished that the US Open will allow Djokovic to play. Additionally, Serbian basketball player Tadija Dragicevic also commented on the Serb’s post. Meanwhile, the British actor, Mark Rhino Smith, also showed some massive love for the 21-time Grand Slam winner.

Moroccan soccer player Boumediene Yahya, who recently came to the Wimbledon Championships, showed support for Djokovic as well. Serbian singer Milica Todorovic also used a love emoji to express her support for the Serbian tennis star.

While another fan wants Djokovic to take the vaccine and win his 22nd Grand Slam title. As things stand, Djokovic is still unable to travel to the US without the vaccine. It will be interesting to see if he gets some sort of exemption at the last moment.
