Food outlets across Huddersfield and Dewsbury have been slapped with one-star food hygiene ratings this year following inspections by Kirklees Council.
The one-star rating means that major improvements are necessary, according to the Food Standards Agency.
The lowly score is just one up from the rock-bottom zero-rating which means urgent improvements are necessary, according to the Food Standards Agency.

Food outlets are judged on:
- How hygienically food has been handled/cooked/cooled/stored
- The condition of the structure of the building and cleanliness
- How the business manages what it does.
The ratings have been published on the Scores on the Doors website and follow inspections carried out by the local authority.
The following premises in Huddersfield, Heckmondwike, Dewsbury and Cleckheaton have been handed one-star ratings this year, 2021.
Indicano, Heckmondwike
Indicano, Heckmondwike
This takeaway was given a one-star rating on April 15 this year by Kirklees Council.
The council rated food hygiene and safety as ‘poor’, with structural compliance also rated ‘poor’. Confidence in management was said to be ‘little’.

Kobeda Hut, Huddersfield

This takeaway was given a one-star rating by Kirklees Council on June 17 this year.
Kirklees rated food hygiene and safety as ‘poor’. Structural compliance was rated ‘fair’ and there was ‘little’ confidence in management, according to Kirklees.

Doodh Patti, Dewsbury

This takeaway was rated one-star on June 18 this year by Kirklees Council.
Food hygiene was rated ‘poor’, structural compliance ‘poor’ and there was ‘little’ confidence in management, according to Kirklees.
